Exploring via boots and backpack has it’s thrills and pleasures, but after years of doing just that, I needed to expand my range of travel off the beaten path. In the age of camper vans, Sprinter conversions, and #vanlife, I followed both my heart and my requirements and built a vehicle capable of my demands. My overlanding adventure rig is a 1991 Toyota 4Runner that I’ve modified and equipped with the necessary items and equipment for ease and function in shelter and dining, while allowing simple creature comforts while deep off the road.
